Steve was in Young Life and Fellowship of Christian Athletes in both his junior and senior years. He was also selected for the Superintendent’s Council as a senior.
Steve has been in the real estate profession in Texas ever since 1977. He owns Oakwood Property Company. Steve acquired his Texas Real Estate Broker’s License in 1978. He bought his first quadplex in 1979 for $42,000 with another seminary student. Here his skills were developed to know how to be the general contractor and remodel.

Andrew Baxter was chosen Captain of the Wranglers of Pearce High School Yell Leaders and elected Pearce High Mr. Spirit during his senior year. The Wranglers were a team of ten seniors who supervised the pep rallies and were yell leaders at the games.

Brennan Baxter, Andrew Baxter’s brother, was also a successful basketball player. Steve enjoyed Brennan’s success just as well and has had many happy times enjoying both of his sons’ successes both on and off the Pearce High School basketball court.
Andrew Baxter always enjoyed Young Life in high school. The group met weekly, went on summer and winter camps, and encouraged its members in their Christian faith. But BUCS was like Young Life at the next level, fellowship for university students eager to integrate their university experience with their Christian walk.

Andrew is thankful for the successes of high school, appreciative of his popularity socially and accomplishments athletically. But he would be the first to say that those successes are nothing in comparison to the privilege of knowing Christ and living for Him.
